girlgang was established in London in 2005 by me,
pinklady, a born and bred Londoner, with a view to creating a powerful look that was all about streetwear but not necessarily about being a tomboy.

I started out sharing a stall with a friend at Portobello market when I was a student, selling all the incredible second hand treasures we'd found at car bot sales! I began making and selling my own designs there which eventually led me to start girlgang, but the obsessive vintage buying virus has thankfully never left me - so now I put it to good use by cherry picking the very best of late 80's and early 90's vintage, from Moschino to C&A, to bring to you via our shop!

But my background is in illustration and calligraphy rather than fashion; my particular obsession being PRINT!
I love nothing better than to scribble hand-drawn prints and graphics for girlgang – splashing them over interesting cuts that bring badgirl-twists to street fashion classics.

All girlgang products are produced in the UK and where possible, in London – sometimes exclusively at girlgang HQ
